My Vision

With my 26 years of legal experience coupled with insightful intelligence, judicious temperament and wisdom, I have honorably served our community as a judge for 18 years. My personal goal is to continue to serve the citizens of Bexar County as the Judge for the 225th District Court.

Your support during the 2006 election year is extremely important and as always greatly appreciated.

On both March 7 (Democratic Primary) and November 7 (General Election), please VOTE FOR Peter Sakai for Judge of the 225th District Court.

This Court supervises the nationally recognized Bexar County Children's Court where I have presided for 11 years. I want to continue to:

1. Empower Families
   
   
   • Hold Parents Responsible.
   • Educate Parents.
   • Engage Parents in the Workforce.
   • Work with community-based organizations to expand and improve their services in order to help parents become productive, independent and responsible citizens.
     
     
2. Protect Children
   
   
   • Maintain the standard for "Clean and Sober" Parents.
   • Work with Mental Health providers to improve and expand Mental Health Treatment Access for Parents and Families.
   • Work with law enforcement and community based organizations to Eliminate Family and Domestic Viloence.
     
     
3. Improve the System
   
   
   • Evaluate the court's system with the assistance of its stakeholders in order to make changes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
   • Maintain a high standard of accountability for myself and all the system's stakeholders for the benefit of our tax-payers. Health Treatment Access for Parents and Families.
   • Provide for focused collaboration and coordination within the System.
   • Facilitate the collaboration of various funding sources, agencies and community leaders to prevent child abuse and neglect through successful programs in our community, neighborhoods and educational center.
